Problems viewing VNC Server on headless devices

There are known issues when running VNC Server on some Macs and PCs that do not have monitors attached. These problems may be caused by the types of graphics card or APIs, or by the graphics drivers.

On headless PCs, notably the NUC, uninstalling Intel's graphics drivers and installing the generic MS Windows drivers may resolve display issues. See the discussion of the Intel NUC issue and Intel's official workaround here.
